Introduction
Every angler wants to catch really good fish! This may seem obvious
but the experienced angler knows how hard it is to get meaningful results.
Using the correct end-tackle rig and baits for the conditions in the area
fished are just two of the requirements for success.
Exclusively designed by ex-England Boat International Jon Holgate,
our exciting rig range helps meet this need.

HD Rigs are specially designed to meet the different requirements
and needs of Boat or Shore fishing. Each of these great quality rigs is targeted
towards catching particular species or types of fish. Every rig also benefits
from helpful advice from a very experienced international angler to help
give all anglers the best chance of success. So not only do you get the best
rig for the job but also clear advice on the right techniques to use when
fishing, as well as which type of bait is best to try.
Which rig to choose
If you are a boat angler, select the rigs you need to catch the kinds
of fish or particular species you are after from the types in the ”NR” range
listed on the 'rigs' pages.
On the other hand if you have no particular target fish in mind then
choose a general-purpose rig such as the “Scratching Rig” for
example.
If fishing from the pier, shore or beach then we recommend choosing
the type of rig best suited to your needs from our HD Shore rig range shown
on the 'rigs' pages
Specifications
HD Rigs are constructed using only best quality line, hooks and components.
Each design is different because performance requirements and loads on the
rig’s construction when playing or landing a fish vary enormously.
For these reasons different lines and components may be used in each rig-type.
